After making chocolate from cocoa beans we get its shell as a byproduct. Even as a byproduct it should not be seen as waste because it can still be used to make cacao tea. This beverage serves many worldwide homes and mostly in Africa. Users of this tea really beget a lot of health benefits.

Vitamins and minerals; it comes packed with many minerals and vitamins. Much needed Vitamin C in our bodies is found in it. Minerals such as potassium, copper, iron, magnesium and calcium all necessary for our body functions are found in the cacao husks which is used to make the tea. Our bodies can't function well in lack of these minerals. For example we need iron to make red blood cells.

Heart health; minerals found in the cocoa help in keeping your heart health. Magnesium will keep blood flowing due to increase in heart functions from it. To survive our body needs oxygen, copper increases chances of blood cells receive oxygen which is thereafter circulated around by blood. Vitamin E in it will keep your heart health reducing chances of heart disease.

Feeling good; there are compounds in the cacao that boosts up and balance the levels of Serotonin leaving with you contentment and pure happiness the whole day. Serotonin is responsible for this. This has become a key consideration of cocoa being aphrodisiac from both men and women although it is yet to be scientifically proven.

Brain function; the brain is the central processing unit in human bodies if it can be compared to a computer. An increase in brain activity is always a positive thing. Cocoa increases your brain activity and has no side effects on you such as dizziness and headaches. Compared to caffeine which does the same, it is better for it doesn't increase heart activity as caffeine does.

Fighting illness; diabetes has been one of the main diseases affecting people across all nations and social classes. You and old no one is spared from diabetes. Most people suffering from diabetes there are some foods they are not required to eat so as not to worsen their conditions. Cocoa which is not sweetened can be good for those looking for something to drink since it doesn't increase the levels of sugar in blood and it leads to improvement in cell function.

Antioxidants; antioxidants compounds such as those found in fruits, grains and vegetables are also found in cocoa tea. The antioxidants are used to slow down the aging process in our bodies, which no one wants to be associated. There are more antioxidants in cocoa than in green tea or red wine. It has almost the same amount of antioxidants found in blueberries.

The health benefits are immense and can't all be listed here as some are yet to be found. The once thought to be a waste is now one of the best health products you should always be keeping in your kitchen cabinet for a healthier life. Living a long healthy and happy life which comes with the improvement of serotonin in your body by cocoa tea is every persons wish.
