Advertising Events In Facebook News Feed

By Bilal Syed

Facebook has now added the ability to advertise events in the news feed. This is great news for everyone. This will allow more people to see events and be able to reply to them.

The biggest issue with events is that people miss the notification for them or they don't check which events they have been invited to. They miss out on something because they did not think to check into it. This is hard because people depend on event RSVPs for a head count.

If you're new to Facebook marketing, we're telling you that you should use Facebook ads right now because most people spend more time on this social media network than on any other website on the planet. When people are logged on to Facebook, they usually look at the news feeds to check out the latest updates from their friends.

The great thing about Facebook is that it is always working hard to make things a little better for the user. Not everyone always agrees with the choices that are made but that is typical for any type of service. With the change in the events, people will be able to utilize that feature a little more and have better success with it.

Insights for Events will show the number of people who have seen links to events on the Facebook platform, as well as the number of people who have viewed events, and the number of times the event has been joined, saved or had a "maybe" response.

Facebook is allowing ads for events to appear in both the mobile and desktop feeds of users. Until recently, event advertisements would appear only in the right rail on desktop users; apart of the screen that is not particularly prominent.
