The performer needs to satiate a submission proforma. The document contains spaces which the performer needs to completely fill. The data they provide must not be false. It is important as it helps the platform to know the artist behind the tape and anyone that has played a part in the cinematic. This will play a crucial part when the public sees the tape and want to know the artist in the tape.

The performer must have original ideas. To top the selection list the performer must have what no one else has. This mainly includes original ideas. Original and creative ideas beckon and command the attention of the selectors. This is important as the platform has a lot of tapes emailed to them. The most creative and original ideas are usually the most likely to be shortlisted and played.

The artist must pay a fee. This is a business just like any other, therefore there must be a profit to be made. This is because once the tape goes viral the expert will stand to make lots of money. This will be through promotions, sales and even performances. In addition the station has to pay taxes. The station also has to pay its employees. To get all this financial need met, the artists have to pay a wage.

The audiovisual is looked into by a commission. They are the people that decide whether your tape is worthy going on air. They sensor inappropriate words in videos, they also remove drug abuse and guns from the video. They may at times tell the artists to get rid of a few things from their music tapes. They keep irritating songs away from the citizens.

The musician needs to have an audience. The supervisors will create a fan page and post the song. They monitor the reactions of the online community towards the music tape. They only proceed to officially go live with the music tape if and only if the audience likes the video and gave it thumbs up.
