Limited Edition Custom Portrait Painting From Photo

By Sarah Miller

There is nothing like art, it is expressive and can make your home look incredible at the same time. But have you heard of Limited edition digital painting? Everything is so technological these days that you can t go wrong with art that is the same way. Custom portrait painting from photo looks amazing and it can be a great addition to what you already have in your home.

Many who are not part of the art industry don t know anything about this kind of art. It is created on a computer using paint boxes that are virtual. Basically packed with everything an artist would need if they were painting physically. Once the painter is done then it will be transferred to paper or whatever suitable material to be hung up on a wall.

The real difference between art that was done without a computer and one with it is that the PC one looks perfectly drawn. Things like a circle or a straight line can be done without a hiccup. They can even be done repetitively just by pressing or issuing specific commands to the pc program. The free hand cannot execute this in the same way, lines and circles tend to look slightly crooked.

Other than flawlessness and utter perfection, another bonus of using a computer is being able to undo what you have done. You can attempt a few strokes and undo them if you don t like how they look, then you can try again using different colors. This is very different from when you are using the free hand. A stroke is a stroke, you can not change it or remove it. You have to replace your entire canvas and start from the very beginning.

There are some techniques that are great that come with this particular art form. This is when photography is added on to the mix. The reason behind the exploration of this kind is because artists have always tried to combine outside elements with art. How does this work? The photo is taken and the editing programs are used to incorporate it into the piece you have already started creating.

If you ever got into this type of and you wanted to produce freehand lookalikes. There is a way you can accomplish that. All it takes is using the brushes and other tools in the computer to make strokes with your hand. No automated functions just use your hand with all other effects. This will be very a very traditional looking art piece, known to many as raster.

You may also come across the Vector, it is when the artist chooses circles, squares, and other shapes on the computer. They may also choose to draw these full on by hand instead of taking them as they are from the computer options. They do this to manipulate and modify those shapes by using other computer functions. To turn them into admirable art forms that are loved and appreciated.

Whether you are an artist or just an admirer this is something to look into. There are some fine pieces you can purchase for your own interest but as an artist, you can give this way of doing things a shot.
