NFL Predictions Against The Spread This Weekend

By Rebecca Ellis

With the second round of the NFL divisional playoffs just around the corner, speculations have dominated the mouths of fans. They have a lot of zeal and anxiety in light of what they expect will prevail during the contestations. It is fun to speculate and remain optimistic for best outcomes of the spreads of the weekends Divisional games. My view on the NFL predictions against the spread is discussed below.

The Kansas City Chiefs will take on New Englands Patriots, in a tussle that many argue will be hot, and thus difficult to assume what will ensue. Both teams have had their fair share of ups and downs, and it is therefore utterly confusing to speculate victory to any of the parties. The Chiefs, on their side, are in serious crisis of having to coordinate themselves in the game, deficient of proficient and highly essential players like Rob Gronkowski, among others. The Patriots are also not left out in this entanglement, since they will be lacking the influential services of Jeremy Maclin, their best offensive player. The player has not been in practice exercises, and this has sparked confusion as to whether he will be in the starting line-up, or not.

Green Bay Packers versus Arizona Cardinals is also another matched slotted for the weekend. In my unsolicited opinion, though the Packers tried their level best to outshine the overrated Washington by a ruthless seventeen last week, they are not as good.

The Cardinals, on their side, are coming off rejuvenated after a week-long rest, and it should be remembered that they hammered the Packers a thunderous 38-8, just a couple of weeks ago. On this game, my presumption is that the Arizona Cardinals will scoop a comfortable win against the Green Bay Packers.

Another hot encounter is whereby the Seattle Seahawks will be off visiting the Carolina Panthers. Many analysts have maintained that the Seattle have had lots of trouble trying to remain in the contest, and have struggled their way to the playoffs. This makes many assume that the Panthers will definitely humble their contestants, but I beg to differ. I hold that the reverse will actually happen.

However, in my view, they overshadow the Panthers, in retaliation and revenge of their thin loss against the Panthers last month, of a meager four points. This happened before the Seahawks reorganized themselves and got back to their winning ways, which propelled them to the topmost position in DVOA.

Pittsburgh Steelers will be interacting with Denver Broncos. The Steelers have struggled their way to the playoffs, and will be without the vital services of Antonio Brown, their best receiver, and DeAngelo Williams, their leading rusher.

However, they are also faced with a regrettable blow of having to play without essential game changers like Antonio Brown and DeAngelo Williams. I presume that the Broncos will narrowly outweigh the Steelers.
