The two wheel walkers are similar to the folding walkers and can be folded in half. This particular type is more ideal for the elderly who want to place some but not all weight on the walker. This type is also light weight, can be transported easily, and also slides on the floor. However, they are usually not ideal for the elderly who want to put so much weight on a walker.

The other type is the rollator walker also called four-wheeled walkers. These have four wheels, a basket, a seat, and brakes. In addition, they remain suitable for use outdoors and indoors with big wheeled ones being preferred for outdoor use as they can roll easily on uneven grounds.

Rollators remain suitable the aged individuals who may want walkers just for balancing. Such remains advantageous for the reason that elderly persons can easily carry with them light luggage, rest, sit. The also provide security in case of a need to clutch to something.

Another type is the 3 wheel walker which is similar to a rollator but has one less wheel and without a seat. They are also stable for both indoor and outdoor although they are not stable like the rollators due to the one less wheel. They are usually ideal for elderly with strength, balance, and endurance issue but who do not require the extra stability from other types of walkers like the rollators.
